Now the city is becoming more well known for its cultural offer and its festival programme, which cover diverse topics ranging from art to food and drink, music to heritage, writing to physical theatre.

The city is alive and buzzing with celebrations and unique events all year round, appealing to locals and visitors alike.

In 2015, two of Liverpool’s home-grown music festivals won accolades at the UK Festival Awards. Sound City was awarded the The Best Metropolitan Festival and Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF) was awarded Best Festival for Emerging Talent.

Liverpool was recently voted as the 3rd best destination in the UK in the Trip Advisor Travellers Choice Awards 2016. Did we mention that we’re a UNESCO City of Music too?
