Castle Street is a street in the heart of Liverpool City Centre that not only boasts some of the best bars and restaurants, it also has some incredible history, seen in the fantastic facade's of the architecture that characterises this beautiful street.
Castle Street stretches from the neo-baroque period Queen Victoria Monument on Derby Square, up towards the beautiful Georgian Town Hall that you'll notice is just slightly off-centre.
It may only be a small street, but it is absolutely brimming with character and is a favourite for many. It's an area formerly known for it's banking and commerce, hence some of the breath-taking and ornate structures that now house restaurants, bars and hotels.
The street is fast-becoming the place to be for a glass of fizz, bottomless brunch, bottomless pizza and it's glitz and glamour offered by favourites San Carlo and Neighbourhood.
It's home to the oldest store front in the city, in the small but perfectly formed McGuffie's cafe and bar - a former pharmacy dating back to 1910.
What about some wine tasting at Veeno? Or if wine isn't your thing, then surely the Underground Gin Society is?
Let's not forget about the jewel in the crown of Castle Street, the magnificent Town Hall. Not only the Queen has waved to thousands from that balcony, so have Liverpudlian royalty, The Beatles.
But don't look on from just outside, take a look inside the Town Hall at one of their annual open days.
