Family Friendly

Old and young alike will love Liverpool city region; it’s a great destination for a family break, with city centre attractions plus fresh air and open spaces to explore. Here's some firm family favourites.

City centre family-friendly attractions include Mersey Ferries and U-boat Story

Museum of Liverpool, Tate Liverpool, Walker Art Gallery, Maritime Museum and World Museum all have child-friendly galleries, exhibitions and events. The beautiful Central Library has a large children’s section with lots of space to read and relax.

For something a little bit different, head to Quirky Quarter, for upside-down activities and mind boggling illusions.

Liverpool has more parks than Paris – a run around one of these will make sure kids burn off some energy.

Stay in Liverpool and you’re well situated to enjoy a wild day out at Knowsley Safari  or Chester Zoo. Head to Wirral for a day out at the resurgent New Brighton resort or a cycle along the Wirral Way.
