Croxteth Hall and Country Park is a haven in the heart of a proud and passionate local community; a jewel in Liverpool’s crown and a place where visitors can escape to the country without leaving the city… Formerly the home of the Earls of Sefton, Croxteth Hall began life as an Elizabethan hunting lodge back in 1575, before developing over multiple generations into the elegant building which is present today.
This stunning manor house boasts a combination of Tudor, Georgian, and Queen Anne architectural features, while its beautiful interior is frozen in the Edwardian age – presenting visitors with an opportunity to truly step back in time. Outside on the grounds of the Country Park is the Victorian Walled Garden, all set in over 500 acres of historic parkland, which includes a beautiful woodland, pasture, and nature reserve.
Although the Hall and Walled Garden remain closed to the public while essential maintenance is carried out in 2022, it hopefully won’t be too long before visitors can enjoy them once again. In the meantime, both the outer park and inner park remain open for visitors to explore, take in the views, relax and unwind.
Visit the Croxteth Hall and Country Park website to keep up to date with the latest news and developments.
