About

FACT Liverpool could be described as a hidden gem with its tucked away location in the historic Ropewalks Quarter of Liverpool, just a few steps from Liverpool's famous Bold Street.

It's the UK's leading organisation for exhibiting and supporting artists that use art and film to embrace new technology and explore digital culture. FACT regularly participates in Liverpool Biennal, the contemporary art festival featuring art from all over the world.

Exhibitions at FACT Liverpool are developed by a range of international world-class artists and curators, with the aim of increasing knowledge about new technologies and how they affect us socially.

In 2016, actor turned performance artist Shia LeBouf lead performance artwork '#TOUCHMYSOUL' as part of the exhibition 'Follow' that explored how social media affects our perceptions, self-value and online behaviour. In 2018, the iconic pioneer of French New Wave film movement, Agnès Varda, exhibited at FACT, the first time Varda’s work had been shown in an art gallery. FACT is a place of firsts and somewhere to experience the extraordinary.

Visitors can also pay a visit to the cinema at FACT, run by Picturehouse, or watch a film at a hidden location in Liverpool as part of FACT’s 'Cinema in the City’ programme.

Entry is FREE and free Wi-Fi is also available throughout.

Thought-provoking exhibitions touching upon very niche subjects - very enjoyable for an hour or so of listening, exploring and taking time to absorb something new. Read full review

My gosh - I cannot rave about the Canteen enough. It has a glorious selection of food that appeals to someone who has lost most of their taste and smell courtesy of Covid-19. So much texture in... Read full review
