Heswall Golf course is one the best. It was founded in 1903, positioned in Wirral, on gently rolling parkland, the golfer is offered some of the finest views across the Dee Estuary over to the Clwyd Hills including Moel Famau, Point of Ayr and Hilbre Islands. Paired with the bautiful silence and natural wildlife on the Dee marshes a protected bird sancturary, Heswall Golf Course is an exquisite golfing experience.

The course offers an interesting challenge to golfers. It's a mature 18 hole, 6872 yard, par 72 course. Due to its proximity to the Dee Estuary and the Irish Sea the weather plays part in any round played. Strategically placed trees and bunkers offer some relief from the elements.

Heswall was chosen by the R&A to host the Junior Open Championship in 2006, the same year that The Open Championship was held at Royal Liverpool Golf Club. The Junior Open, first played in 1994, continues to grow in popularity and Heswall joined a list of distinguished venues including Formby, Crail and Royal Musselburgh.

There is also an impressive on-site clubhouse.
