Hillside Golf Club is located in Southport, an area regarded as 'England's Golf Coast' just 1 hour from Liverpool City Centre. The 7000 yard course is dotted with magnificent sandhills and stunning pinewoods.
The original Hillside course was founded in 1911 but it's layout has altered significantly since then, after acquiring land in 1960s it was extensively remodelled. The overall layout of the course is balanced in two halves. It was the back nine holes that saw major changes, whereas the front line had always been highly regarded and plays over relatively flat ground.
In 2014, the club was selected to stage the Open Championship Final Qualifying for a total of four years.
Unless personally introduced as the guest of a member, visitors must contact Hillside and make a reservation prior to arrival. Handicap Certificates will be required from all visiting golfers.
