Kōmaru Outdoor Adventure

Kōmaru Outdoor Adventure at Knowsley Safari Park teaches bushcraft and survival skills, helping people of all ages to build their knowledge and experience, try their hand at new things and, most importantly, have fun! Everyone taking part also gets free entrance to the Safari Park walkabout area, where you can see elephants, giraffes, meerkats and much more.

Kōmaru for KIDS

Komaru provides the ultimate bushcraft and survival adventures for kids, with everything included from learning to use camouflage and track animals, making rope out of nettles, lighting fires, making shelters and cooking food on a campfire. Bushcrafters aged between five and sixteen can go wild in the woods on taster sessions and family courses – including overnight camps under the stars.

Kōmaru for FAMILIES

Families can enjoy day-long courses and overnight camps, where they can put their survival skills to the test as a team, as well as having fun and spending time together. This can mean everything from building a waterproof shelter in the woods and lighting fires, to finding water, foraging for food and navigating back to civilisation.

Komaru provides one day and overnight courses for adults who want to learn basic bushcraft and survival skills, from shelter-building and fire-lighting, to rope making and wilderness first aid. There are also advanced courses and master-classes with experts in tracking, foraging, primitive skills and fire-craft, where you can hone your skills and meet fellow enthusiasts.

Kōmaru for Groups & Teams

Komaru work with all kinds of groups, from businesses wanting to develop team-working skills to stag and hen parties, providing a unique learning and fun experience. Events can range from a half-day survival skills course to a day-long zombie apocalypse or an overnight extreme survival challenge.
