The Royal Court provides a unique theatre experience for any visitor to Liverpool. Dining in your seat before the show, drinks at your table and some of the very best Liverpool talent performing in home produced plays.
The Court produces eight shows a year with each one lasting four to six weeks. Generally comedies and musicals, this is the place to go for high quality entertainment using the best professional actors in the city. Actors rehearse in the city, sets are built here and 95% of money generated by the theatre is paid back into the city to staff and suppliers.
In 2012 the Royal Court Liverpool Trust invested £1.2m on the auditorium, replacing every seat and renovating the stalls bar area. In 2015 a further £2.8m was spent on front of house areas, replacing circle toilets and bars, a new Box Office, daytime cafe, foyer extension and a lift to all floors. More money is set to be invested in future to maintain this stunning Art Deco venue.
This venue is a must see for any visitor to the city, a look at real Liverpool theatre and a guaranteed great night of entertainment.
