A Canadian style canoe with a mother and two kids on it. While an instructor is helping them

About

Bookings open every Wednesday morning at 9am for the following week, and you need to book before midnight the day before you’d like to visit. For further details see the website.

It's a safari, but not as you know it! It's a little more up close, and a little more physical. This safari does not involve sitting behind the wheel in the comfort of a four wheel drive. No, this involves a canoe and 3 people!

This is a self-guided canoe safari! Three people will sit inside a Canadian style canoe to enjoy a fun and interactive way of getting up close to wildlife and nature. The tour lasts up to an hour and there are no restrictions in taking part, just one rule that the participants securely fit into the buoyancy aid. Though a minimum age recommendation is 5 years.

For those who do prefer to take a back seat, boat tours offer a peaceful alternative. The guided tour will travdel through the wetlands learning all about Martin Mere, watching the wildlife, dragonfly spotting and more!
