Children under 2 and carer admission is free.
*Visitors with disabilities (paying full adult/child admittance) may admit one accompanying carer free of charge. Please bring relevant proof of entitlement such as a blue badge, or a Disability Living Allowance letter or book (issued by the DWP benefit office).
These admission prices are for the peak season online booking only, please see chesterzoo.org for off-peak and winter admission prices. Discounted rates available for group and school visits. Separate charges for events may apply. On the door prices are always more expensive.

Chester Zoo is home to over 20,000 ENDANGERED and unusual animals based in beautiful, award-winning zoological gardens. Stories POP UP all over the zoo and throughout April, we want to AWAKEN your inner child and CAPTURE your curiosity with our storytelling SPECTACULAR!
Dive into a story brought to life in our POP-UP trail or hear the TALLEST tales in the wildest ways. From song and dance, to puppetry, performances and workshops for the whole family.
But they won’t be around for long, so catch them while you can!

Why not make a meal of your visit and stop for a bite at one of the many restaurants, cafes and kiosks located throughout the zoo. From classic family friendly dishes, to tasty street food and authentic South East Asian inspired dishes.
If you’re looking for something EXTRA special, our contemporary British pub The Oakfield*, serves freshly prepared locally sourced food and hand-picked beers, wines and spirits – the PERFECT accompaniment to your zoo visit.

Road Directions
The motorway and public transport network means that Chester Zoo is easy to reach from all over the UK, and you can visit in under two hours from as far as Birmingham or Leeds. By motorway, M56, Junction 14, or M53 Junction 12, follow the brown signs to Chester Zoo. The postcode for sat nav is CH2 1EU. Free parking.
Public Transport Directions
We’re really easy to get to using public transport! We’re just a 2 mile walk from Bache Train Station or you can travel straight to Chester Train Station and take a connecting bus to the zoo. The Number 1 and X1 buses pick up in Liverpool and Chester every 10 minutes and both drop you off right outside our front gates
