About
The award winning Clore Natural History Centre has been one of the most popular attractions at World Museum Liverpool.
This is the place to come to get your hands on more than 20,000 of the most unusual and fascinating items from the huge natural science collections. You can touch a hippopotamus skull, examine an exotic tropical butterfly or hold a mammoth tooth. The Clore Natural History Centre is packed full of mounted and preserved specimens of all types of animals from around the globe. There are also rocks, minerals, fossils and plants for you to see.
The centre's expert demonstrator staff are always on hand to answer questions and provide extra information about the objects. Special display cases mean you can get a close look at a hairy spider's legs or a locust's lacy wings under video-microscopes. A range of interactive displays and hands-on activities mean that people of all ages and abilities can get the most out of this unique facility.
