About
New covid secure measures have been put in place across the M&S Bank Arena. The measures have been introduced in line with the government approved ‘All Secure Standard’ and as part of a series of accreditations received by the venue including VisitEngland’s ‘We’re Good to Go’ industry standard for tourism and hospitality.
Measures include designated entrances; track and trace QR codes, socially distanced queuing, bathrooms and seating; one-way systems; hand sanitisers and anti-viral electrostatic spraying machines to enhance hygiene standards throughout the venue, including seating areas.
Customers are asked to wear face coverings at all times - including when walking to and from their seats - except when eating or drinking.
The M&S Bank Arena Liverpool stands at the heart of the development of Kings Waterfront, an iconic cultural legacy of Liverpool's year as European Capital of Culture in 2008. The award-winning facilities sit alongside the Grade I listed Albert Dock complex and World Heritage Site on the eastern bank of the river Mersey, in the heart of Liverpool city centre.
The 10,600 seat M&S Bank Arena Liverpool is joined to the Convention Centre by a central Galleria, making it unique as the only arena and convention centre under one roof in Europe.
M&S Bank Arena Liverpool opened in January 2008 with the launch event for Liverpool: European Capital of Culture and has since played host to a string of international events, including the MTV Europe Music Awards, BBC Sports Personality of the Year, Cirque du Soleil and Davis Cup tennis, plus concert performances from Elton John, Bob Dylan and Beyoncé.
M&S Bank Arena Liverpool contains a raft of facilities for visitors, including 22 hospitality boxes, food and drink concessions, a 1600 space car park, bike racks and a drop-off point and is fully accessible for all of our guests. Backstage we have two star dressing rooms, six dressing rooms, a green room, a warm up area with lockers for visiting sports teams and private office space for promoters and producers during their time in Liverpool. And using the Echo Arena in tandem with the BT Convention Centre means there's plenty of space for corporate hospitality and VIP entertainment areas too.
The arena can also be used in conjunction with the Convention Centre for exhibition and event space. With a floor space of 3,400 m2 in the arena, the combined venue offers 7,000 m2 while the M&S Bank Arena Liverpool's mother and daughter grids allow the flexibility of moving the position of the stage and lighting.
