Homotopia is Liverpool’s internationally renowned homegrown queer arts festival. One of the key cultural highlights on the festival calendar which has included a major retrospective by David Hockney, appearances by film director John Waters and pop icon Boy George’s first photography exhibition and a groundbreaking exhibition on trans pioneer April Ashley.

Every November it presents an annual festival of local, national and international LGB&T (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) arts & culture featuring an eclectic programme including theatrical world premieres, contemporary dance, visual art, debate, youth & community participation, heritage & film in venues such as The Philharmonic, FACT, Museum of Liverpool, Walker Art Gallery, Tate and Unity Theatre. 

Programming trailblazers and award winning social justice projects and education outreach work throughout the year it is one of the key arts festivals in the region.
