The food and drink scene in Liverpool is full of flavour and excitement. A day trip will offer you a mere taste of the foodie delights on offer, but if you treat yourself to a longer visit, perhaps a weekend trip, then you can discover and explore so much more of the amazing food in the region.
If it’s fine dining you’re after, Paul Askew’s Art School, Manifest, and Röski are great places to start. For a more casual take, eat at Barnacle inside Duke Street Market. Or you could head to Bistrot Vérité over in Birkdale Village.
Bold Street is home to some of Liverpool's favourite restaurants for fusion foods and world flavours, like Maray, The Italian Club, Bakchich and the first-ever Mowgli.
The Albert Dock offers plenty of places to eat and drink, within an atmospheric setting. Try Revolución De Cuba, Lunyalita, The Botanist or Panam Restaurant and Bar. A little further along the dock is Delifonseca, with an award-winning butchers and deli.

Castle Street has become well-known for its abundance of high-quality eateries and cute cocktail bars, bookended by the 18th Century Town Hall and Queen Victoria Monument, with Nord nearby.
You’ll always find some hidden gems when it comes to traditional pubs in Liverpool. There are Beatles favourites The Grapes and Ye Cracke in The Georgian Quarter and several to choose from along Dale Street.
