Tickets are now on sale for Knowsley Safari’s popular Enchanted event, which is back this Christmas, wildlife-inspired, and more immersive than ever before. Guests can look forward to a BRAND-NEW nature-themed light trail with incredible installations, a magical Winter Village and an incredible soundtrack, from 20th November to 23rd December 2026, including a designated SEN-friendly evening on 9th December – and if booking before 1st November there’s free marshmallow toasting!
Visitors will be wowed by this magical after-dark adventure, with a reimagined trail promising an immersive journey through light, nature and wonder. Drawing inspiration from Knowsley Safari's natural habitat and wildlife-filled landscapes, this unique event will feature bigger attractions, bespoke designs, an original soundtrack composed especially for the experience – and of course, the man himself, Santa!
From 4pm as darkness falls, families and friends will begin making festive memories beneath a huge striking silhouette moon, as they meander through trees adorned with thousands of glistening lights. Guided by glowing tiger paw prints, guests will make their way to the Tiger Trail, which will be transformed into a mesmerising illuminated forest – and where guests usually see the Safari’s Amur tigers, Yuki, Akira and Makari by daylight, during Enchanted sharp-eyed guests will be able to spot bright tiger eyes after dark!
The whimsical adventure continues with a gigantic insect hotel populated by enormous bees and dragonflies, followed by a dazzling world of shimmering disco balls, colour-changing light arches and spectacular six-metre-high chandeliers.
Nature is very much at the heart of this year’s Enchanted with festoon-lit rhododendrons, and a huge magical Christmas tree centrepiece with baubles and light – a must-have for the perfect family Christmas photo opportunity.
In addition to the trail, guests can soak up the festive vibe in the Winter Village, where The Bus Yard will be serving up festive food and drink favourites, including loaded Yorkshire pudding wraps, churros, candyfloss and festive hot chocolate, alongside seasonal cocktails and the ever-popular marshmallow toasting!
No festive visit would be complete without meeting Santa, and this year his festive grotto has been enhanced. Guests who’ve pre-booked, will be greeted by Santa's elves and taken to meet the big man himself, to enjoy a delightful festive encounter designed to create everlasting Christmas memories.
Adding to the Christmassy atmosphere, the Safari's rides and amusements will be open and illuminated throughout the event, providing added fun for all the family.
The designated SEN-friendly Enchanted event will take place on 9th December, to ensure a comfortable and inclusive experience for neurodivergent guests, as well as visitors with disabilities. This event will feature environmental modifications including reduced capacity, softened sound and lighting effects and rides won’t be open to ensure a calmer environment.
