Liverpool is home to the largest number of museums and galleries outside of London, so there’s loads to choose from across the region.

Some of the finest European exhibitions have housed themselves in galleries across the region in recent years. The Terracotta Warriors visited the World Museum in 2018, Double Fantasy at Museum of Liverpool in 2019 and the Turner Prize 2022 at Tate Liverpool.

Arts centres like the Bluecoat and The Atkinson have a year-round family-friendly activity calendar alongside topical art installations.

There are exciting developments taking place at Tate Liverpool and which means Tate Liverpool is currently located in a temporary location, just a stone's throw from the Royal Albert Dock.
