Royal Albert Dock Liverpool is joining the city in welcoming Taylor Swift with a series of activities as the world-famous artist heads to Liverpool this month, including the return of its Time to Shine podiums, two spectacular selfie spots, themed bottomless brunches and more.
Royal Albert Dock is inviting visitors to Shake it Off from 14th-15th June with the return of its much-loved Time to Shine Podiums, which first appeared when Liverpool hosted the Eurovision Song Contest last year. Taking place in front of the Martin Luther King Jr Building from 12pm-2pm, hosted by Leanne Campbell on Friday and Claire Simmo on Saturday, Swifties can dance the day away to Taylor’s chart-topping tunes and battle it out to be crowned the winner.
Forming part of Culture Liverpool’s Taylor Town transformation, the dock will be home to two art installations inspired by a different Taylor Swift era. Located in Britannia Courtyard, visitors can find 7ft tall butterfly wings inspired by the singer’s debut album while in Anchor Courtyard, the dock’s giant hearts are receiving a pastel makeover complete with rainbows and flamingoes for the perfect pre-gig selfie.
Those looking to make a day of it can also enjoy a series of themed events at the dock’s selection of venues. Start the celebrations early with a trip to Revolucion de Cuba for their Swiftie Bottomless Brunch on Friday 14th June, offering 90 minutes of bottomless drinks and sing-along classics all topped off with a confetti cannon, or head to Revolution on Sunday 16th June for The Eras Brunch complete with two hours of bottomless cocktails and all the best Swiftie anthems.
For those with a creative flair, get crafty with The Nest’s free Taylor-themed colouring-in sessions or pick up an outfit accessory ahead of the concert. Plus, following the success of the venue’s window display at Eurovision, a life-size Taylor Swift cut-out will take centre stage for a memorable pre-show snap.
