Liverpool’s iconic waterfront is set for a huge festive transformation as Liverpool Christmas Wonderland takes over the Pier Head this Christmas.
Opening on Friday 20th November, the festive destination will bring a huge covered ice rink, 36 attractions and 28 food and drink units to the waterfront, all set against the spectacular backdrop of Liverpool’s Three Graces.
Running from Friday 20th November until Sunday 3rd January 2027, Liverpool Christmas Wonderland will combine skating with thrill rides including a city-first 85m Star Flyer, children’s rides, games, festive food and drink and a host of magical Christmas attractions.
Among the first attractions unveiled for 2026 are the UK’s tallest extreme Star Flyer, soaring an incredible 85 metres into the sky! Never before seen in Liverpool, this towering attraction is set to become an instant head-turner, giving visitors the chance to experience breathtaking views and an adrenaline-fuelled ride from an incredible height.
Alongside this spectacular attraction is The Yeti, Avalanche and Ice Twister, as well as an ice maze and eight children’s rides. A brand-new Santa’s Grotto and Santa Sleigh Ride will add to the Christmas line-up, with plenty more still to be revealed.
Food and drink will also be a major part of the experience, with 28 units bringing plenty of festive flavour to the Pier Head. Visitors can expect everything from stone-baked pizzas, burgers and loaded Yorkshire puddings to roasted marshmallows, warm crumble and custard, churros, crêpes and mini Dutch pancakes, alongside hot chocolates and mulled wine.
The Winter Club will provide a cosy spot to meet for drinks and soak up the festive atmosphere on Liverpool’s waterfront.
Off-peak skating tickets will start from £12.50 for children and £15.50 for adults, with family tickets starting from £49 and skate hire included. Entry to Liverpool Christmas Wonderland itself will be free, meaning visitors can head down to the Pier Head to eat, drink, enjoy the rides and games or simply soak up the atmosphere without booking a skating session. Rides, games and other ticketed attractions will be available separately.

Liverpool Christmas Wonderland will be open daily from 11am until 9pm from Friday 20th November 2026 until Sunday 3rd January 2027, closing on Christmas Day only.
