Red Rum Club, the alt-indie rock sensation hailing from Liverpool, is set to receive a prestigious honour as they are to be immortalised in the hallowed Cavern Wall of Fame.

This recognition comes as the band celebrates not only their roots but also their recent chart success with their latest album, "Western Approaches", which debuted at an impressive number 8 on the UK official album chart in February.

The induction into the Cavern Wall of Fame holds special significance for Red Rum Club, as the band has long been intertwined with the historic venue. It was within the walls of the Cavern Pub that Red Rum Club honed their craft, utilising the club's original live music open mic nights to refine their unique "Mariachi Merseybeat" sound.

This momentous occasion comes just ahead of Red Rum Club's highly anticipated homecoming gig on Friday 5th April at M&S Bank Arena, marking yet another milestone in the band's rise in the music industry.

Red Rum Club say:

"For many years we walked past the Cavern 'Wall of Fame' on our way to playing in the many bars and pubs along the cobblestoned street that gave the World The Beatles, staring in awe at this inscripted mosaic of music icons'. We could only dream that one day our band too would be cemented alongside those greats. Now we know - dreams can come true". (RRC).

The Cavern Wall of Fame was unveiled in 1997 as part of the world-famous Club’s 40th birthday celebrations. It contains named bricks of bands who have played at the cellar club through the decades. Now Red Rum Club will be joining the likes of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Adele, Arctic Monkeys and Oasis to name but a few.

Cavern Director Jon Keats says:

“We have been following and supporting Red Rum Club pretty much from the beginning. They are one of the hardest working bands around and deserve every bit of success that comes their way. It is our pleasure to induct the boys into our Wall of Fame”

In celebration of this landmark achievement, Red Rum Club will be presented with their brick in the Cavern Wall of Fame, located on Mathew Street, on Wednesday, April 3rd, at 6pm. Fans and supporters are invited to join in commemorating this special moment in the band's history.
