Families and tourists heading to the seaside this summer can once again enjoy a scenic ride on an open-top bus as Stagecoach, the UK’s leading bus operator, confirms the return of a popular service. 

 

The Route 400 bus, better known as the Coastal Breezer, will operate between Seacombe Ferry Terminal and New Brighton, offering visitors a fresh, fun, and affordable way to enjoy the Merseyside coastline. 

 

Building on the success of previous years, the service will operate daily from Saturday 19th July to Sunday 31st August, including the August Bank Holiday Monday.  

 

Designed to make summer travel easy and enjoyable, the bus timetable has been carefully aligned with Mersey Ferry sailings, enabling seamless connections for passengers arriving at Seacombe. 

 

Stagecoach is also continuing its partnership with Merseytravel, meaning that Mersey Ferry ticket holders and visitors to Eureka! Science + Discovery Centre can travel on the Coastal Breezer free of charge. 

 

Regular fares remain low, with an adult single fare priced at just £1, and a family ticket available for only £5 (valid for up to two adults and three children), making the Breezer one of the region’s best-value summer travel options.

The open-top bus will operate when weather allows, offering passengers sweeping views of the Wirral waterfront as they travel toward one of the North West’s most loved seaside spots.
