Cavern Quarter

Fans of The Beatles will be well aware of what lies in the Cavern Quarter. Home to Mathew Street, one of the most famous streets in the world, the Cavern Quarter is quite the pilgrimage for people from all over the world to experience a bit of Beatles History. 

On Mathew Street you will find the famous The Cavern Club. Head down into the basement of the most famous club in the world to experience what it would have been like in days of the Fab Four. You can enjoy a drink, listen to some live music, take in the exhibitions, go on a tour or visit over the annual International Beatleweek festival to experience it all. 

Mathew Street is also home to plenty of other Beatles themed bars including the Cavern Pub, Eric’s, The Grapes, Rubber Soul and Sgt Peppers - wherever you go down here the sound of The Beatles will follow.  

If you’re looking for a bit more history on the Beatles then you can visit the Liverpool Beatles Museum. With three floors featuring over 300 rare and authentic items from across their lives and career you’ll be amazed with what you might discover here. 

Take a wander down the historic street and you’ll be welcomed by not only the sounds of buskers but by the arms of some of Liverpool’s most famous statues too. Find John Lennon leaning up against the Cavern Pub and Cilla Black opposite Eric’s.
