The Art School Restaurant is in Liverpool’s Georgian Quarter and first opened in September 2014. Over the last three years it has firmly established itself as Liverpool’s favourite restaurant with a reputation for excellence in food and service and has won many awards over the years.
Boasting 48 red chairs in the main dining room, as well as a Champagne cellar bar with Afternoon Tea service and a stunning private wine tasting space.
The restaurant has its own Private Dining Rooms, The Moriarty Rooms. Seating up to 30 guests, the sumptuous space is served by its own kitchen, bar and cloakroom – ideal for corporate events and special occasions. ‘The Moriarty Room’, named after Chef Askew’s late mother, in recognition of their shared love of Sherlock Holmes and the legendary hospitality she passed on to her son.
Downstairs there is a cellar bar, The Art School Cellars.
A bespoke Champagne and wine cellar, where Paul and his team share a handpicked selection of premium Champagnes, over 300 fine wines, British cheeses and artisan Charcuterie plus an extensive cocktail list coupled with fresh bread and small dishes available to order - all made by The Art School Restaurant team.
Head up Leece St, until you get to Hope Street. Once at Hope Street, follow the A5039 around, to the back of the Liverpool Philharmonic, taking the first road on the right. The Art School Restaurant is located on this road, and is the only door on Sugnall Street.
For Train:The Closest station is Liverpool Central. Exit the station on Bold Street, and turn left, walking up the road until you hit the traffic lights, connecting Berry Street, Leece Street, and Renshaw Street. Cross over the road and walk up Leece Street, until you see the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. Continue to walk around the side of the Philharmonic and The Art School Restaurant is located on Sugnall Street, directly across the road from the back of the Philharmonic.
