Dream Herd is a playful and interactive installation, offering a tongue-in-cheek interpretation of counting sheep.
Each sheep’s leg is designed to be interactive, illuminating new lights and triggering unique sounds, inviting participants to engage with this whimsical dreamscape. As visitors interact, their collective actions create a mesmerising cloud of light and sound, symbolising the shared experience of dreaming together.
Blurring the lines of reality and imagination, Dream Herd immerses visitors in the surreal feeling of being inside a dream, where creativity and curiosity take centre stage. Through its vibrant blend of light, sound, and surrealist humour, the installation transforms the simple act of counting sheep into an enchanting, otherworldly experience.

The soundscape of Dream Herd creates a dreamy and surreal atmosphere, transporting visitors into an imaginative world. It combines playful children’s voices, gentle sheep sounds, and unexpected surreal elements to create a sense of wonder and curiosity.
The sounds blend together in a whimsical and almost nonsensical way, like fragments from a dream.
Sustainability Information
Sustainability is considered throughout the design, production, and touring process of Amigo & Amigo's artworks. By creating inflatable structures, they reduce the amount of material required for production and significantly improve transport efficiency, allowing the artwork to be packed down into a compact format.
The artworks are designed for longevity and touring, rather than being created as one-off installations. They actively seek opportunities to present them multiple times, prioritising exhibitions in nearby locations where possible to reduce travel distances and environmental impact.
They use energy-efficient LED lighting throughout their artworks, minimising power consumption while maintaining the immersive visual experience.
They also carefully plan the packing, transportation, and installation processes to maximise efficiency. This includes optimising how artworks are packed, sharing shipping space with other artworks whenever possible, and finding smarter ways to reduce unnecessary transport and resources.
