There's no place quite like Goodison Park, the home of 'The Toffees.' There's no sound quite like the roars of over 40,000 blues spectactors on a Saturday. There's no atmosphere quite like that of Everton's 'Grand Old Lady' on football day.
Unarguably the less well known of the two Liverpool Premier League football teams, Everton has a strong more local fan-base than that of it's rivals. They started at Anfield before heading to Goodison, the first English stadium purposely built for football that also had under-soil heating.
Everton Football Club is among many genuine footballing legends and has seen many superstars wearing the famous blue shirt from Dixie Dean to Duncan Ferugson. The team have a long thrilling history of FA Cup triumph and League Championships,
See what goes on behind the scenes at the home of The Toffees with a stadium tour, then you might find out where their 'sweet' nickname comes from.
