At Martin Mere, see, feed and learn about wetland birds and mammal and even beavers at the only attraction in the North West that houses them.

The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) is the largest international wetland consveration charity in the UK and Martin Mere is where wilderness and family-friendliness come together for a fantastic day out, whatever the season. See more than 100 types of rare and endangered water-birds, a family of beavers and otters in residence.

In the winter, thousands of wild ducks, geese and swans are drawn to the internationally-rated wetlands. Then in Spring, see the flamingo chicks grow and the duckling nursery.

For the smaller explorer, the eco-garden and imaginative playground are perfect to keep young minds active! Seasonal attractions include celebrations of local history and wildlife gardening and a programme of walks and talks.

Enjoy a safari with a difference with Martin Mere's selfie guided Canoe Safari.
