The Museum of Liverpool is the world’s first national museum devoted to the history of a regional city and the largest newly-built national museum in Britain for more than a century. In 2018, it marked 10 years on Liverpool’s UNESCO World Heritage Site waterfront and 10 years of representing Liverpool’s unique and interesting history.

More than 6,000 objects bring Liverpool’s incredible heritage to life, celebrating thousands of years of the city’s achievements.
Exhibits include Ben Johnson’s Liverpool Cityscape, a life-size Liverbird, the King’s Regiment archive, local archaeology collection and fascinating large objects in the Land Transport collection. Book a place in Little Liverpool and introduce your youngest children to the wonders of the Museum of Liverpool and check out the latest temporary exhibitions.
Head to the skylight galleries for an unmissable sweeping view of the Three Graces - this window actually won ‘Best window with a view’ - so is definitely worth a stop off.
Road access to Merseyside is excellent with the motorway network making access to central areas quick and easy. From the M6 follow the M56 or M62 to Liverpool.
Regular services to and from Liverpool make it one of the most accessible cities on the UK rail network. Virgin trains operate a London-Liverpool service, with a journey time of just over 2 hours. National Express operate regular services from all major towns and cities in Britain to Norton Street Coach Station, Liverpool.
