Sudley House is now open following the lockdown period.
Experience the magnificent art collection of Victorian merchant ship owner George Holt, set in beautiful leafy grounds, in the heart of suburban Liverpool.
A treasure trove of masterpieces await you by artists including Millais, Rossetti, Burne-Jones, Turner, Romney, Gainsborough and Landseer, forming the only merchant art collection in the UK still in its original setting. A series of temporary exhibitions are hosted by Sudley House each year. Currently on show is Home and Away an exhibition of George Holt's paintings of faraway places, alongside paintings of the Liverpool he would have been familiar with from the collections of National Museums Liverpool.
Sudley House has limited on-site parking, free WIFI in the picnic area. It is a ten minute walk from Mossley Hill Station.
Free entry, donations welcome. Open Wednesday to Sunday, booking essential at www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk
Exit the M62 jct 4, turn left onto Queens Drive. Follow Queens Drive till the end. Turn left onto Mossley Hill Rd continue across Rose Lane. The Entrance for Sudley House will be on your Right.
