Lady Lever Art Gallery in the beautiful village of Port Sunlight is home to one of the UK’s finest collections of fine and decorative art - a must visit when exploring the village that was once home to the workers of the Sunlight Soap Factory. 

 

The Lewis Carroll Centre

Literary enthusiasts will enjoy a trip to the Lewis Carroll Centre, located in Daresbury, the birthplace of Alice in Wonderland author Charles Dodgson (better known as Lewis Carroll). The centre celebrates his life and works with exhibitions and a tranquil garden inspired by his famous tales. 

Whilst you’re here, make sure to pay a visit to the Daresbury Dairy Ice Cream Farm for a tasty treat!

The Atkinson

This picturesque model village, built by industrialist William Lever for his workers, is a stunning example of Victorian architecture and urban planning. Strawberry Field

Immortalised in The Beatles’ hit song Strawberry Fields Forever, this former Salvation Army children’s home has been transformed into a visitor attraction that delves into John Lennon’s early life. Strawberry Field includes an interactive exhibition, peaceful gardens, and the famous red gates. After exploring, grab a bite at The Imagine Café, which serves locally sourced food with a Beatles-inspired twist.
