Finding somewhere to eat when you’re out and about with the kids can often be a bit of a stress, so to make your visit to Liverpool a bit easier, we have done all the hard work for you and found some family friendly restaurants for everyone.

We’ve found some of the best places in the city to take the kids for something to eat that have dedicated children’s menus or places we think the kids would love. From make-your-own-pizza to free food and even menus to colour in - eating out has never been so easy.

Olive on Castle Street is a great place to take the whole family. Adults can sample the finest Italian inspired dishes whilst the kids can pick from their own menu. Choose from Spaghetti Bolognese, BBQ Chicken, Fish Goujons or Make Your Own Pizza and it comes with a dessert - all for £5.95.

The kids will love Yard and Coop - home to buttermilk fried chicken. The little ones not only eat free with every meal purchased by an adult but they will love the food and get to colour in their own menu. The best bit though - you get to sit inside a chicken coop!

Gusto on the Royal Albert Dock offers a great kids menu of a main meal and dessert for just £6.95. They can choose from all the Italian inspired dishes or choose to make their own pizza - a great way to keep the kids entertained over lunch!

Honest Burger on Bold Street have put together a special kids menu so the little ones don’t miss out on their amazing burgers too! They can pick from chicken, beef and veggie fritter burgers all accompanied with chips and homemade lemonade or fruit juice to wash it down.

Breakfast time with the kids calls for a trip to Moose Coffee on Dale Street or Hope Street. With miniature versions of Moose classics such as Mini Pancakes, Mini Waffles and the Mini Mighty, the kids will definitely be ready to tackle the day after this breakfast.

The Quarter on Falkner Square offers the littles ones a whole menu for themselves. They can choose from a selection of pastas and pizzas with ice cream for dessert, all for £6.50. There is even a children’s breakfast menu for if you’re looking for somewhere to eat in the morning.

Spanish tapas always goes down well so we would recommend heading over to Lunya or Lunyalita with the kids to sample theirs. The children's meal deal is a great way to introduce them to tapas, enjoy a drink, a choice of tapas, fries and a scoop of ice cream all for just £7.75.

Smuggler's Cove on the Royal Albert Dock is a treasure trove for the youngsters. For just £6.95 they can get a main and a dessert in this sophisticated pirate themed restaurant. There will be something to satisfy even the fussiest of eaters here!

The kids will love their own German inspired menu at Albert's Schenke. From mini burgers to chicken schnitzel, pasta and chocolate brownies, it will be clean plates all round.

They don’t have a specific children's menu but you can't really go wrong with pizza for the kids. Castle Street’s latest pizzeria has loads of different toppings they can choose from so you can all share your favorites.

Turtle Bay is that good, Liverpool has two! It’s also a great place to take the kids for something to eat. The Caribbean inspired restaurant has menus for Tiny Turtles and Bigger Turtles (little kids and big kids) which includes all the best bits from the main menu.

Smoke & Dough on the Terrace at Liverpool ONE is the perfect place for a family meal. The unique interactive American-Italian restaurant grills and serves the finest meats at your table straight to your plate. It’s like a show and dinner in one! The dedicated kids menu will also keep the younger family members satisfied too.

Viva Brazil on Castle Street let kids under 10 eat free with each full paying adult! The Brazilian restaurant has a large range of options for the kids whilst the adults can enjoy the Rodizio style of serving the best meat around.

For a little snack, head over to The Bagelry on Nelson Street for some rainbow bagels. The kids will love these and you can take them to go or sit in and enjoy a cup of coffee whilst resting your legs.

One of Liverpool’s best loved restaurants, Mowgli, always have their doors open for the entire family. With two sites in the city, the Indian Street Food establishment is a must when visiting the city with the kids. They’ve even put together a children’s menu with some recommended choices off the fantastic main menu.

The Baltic Market in the Baltic Triangle is a great place to take the whole family because of the range of different food on offer. The street food market has loads of different stalls that change all the time so you never know what you’ll find in there - the kids will love it!

If you’re out and about on Liverpool’s famous waterfront then take the whole family over to the Dockside Dining Club. Everyone will be able to find something they like in here from one of the food stalls. There’s everything from pizza, tapas and sushi to fried chicken and pancakes!

For lunch mixed in with a bit of contemporary art, take the kids over to Tate Liverpool. Not only can they experience a bit of culture but kids under 12 can eat free in the cafe when an accompanying adult buys a main meal!

The Brasco Lounge on Mann Island is a great place to take the kids for lunch. With views of the waterfront and a kids menu full of options that they will love… you can't really go wrong.

What’s Cooking? On the Royal Albert Dock has a menu for under 12’s that will be fit for the fussiest of eaters. They can choose from burgers, ribs, hot dogs, fish fingers and loads more so it’s a great place to head with the whole family for something to eat.
