The Art School are ready to welcome you for Valentine’s Day as Paul Askew and the team have been busy crafting two menus for the celebrations. Their Prix Fixe and Celebration Menu feature some of the finest ingredients sourced from across the region to create a beautiful array of dishes to enjoy. 


Barnacle at Duke Street Market have launched a special Valentine’s Day menu for 14 February. A wondrous 6-course feast featuring Artichoke broth, shaved sprouts, seafood chowder, pork kohlrabi, roast spiced cod, lost dock rum baba and loads more! Make sure you book your table quick so you don’t miss out.


Mexican restaurant, Madre have announced their special Valentine’s Day menu which includes seven dishes with a jug of margaritas or a bottle of wine for £70. Choose from a selection of flavoursome quesadillas, tostadas, small plates and signature tacos. Book your table here. 


If you fancy a night in but still want to enjoy some delicious food then Lunya have you covered. Their Valentine’s Day Banquet comes full of beautiful dishes you prepare at home with a very minimal level of cooking required. Featuring everything from hand carved Iberico Bellota Jamon to slow roasted ox cheeks and a trio of desserts, it will be the perfect night in. A Vegan menu is also available too. 


Dine 34 floors up with incredible views of Liverpool at the super romantic Panoramic 34. Enjoy their delicious menu, go all out for a luxurious afternoon tea or head to the cocktail bar for a drink with a view. 


Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Fazenda with their special Valentine's Day menu. Their exclusive menu offers a glass of sparkling wine on arrival and special Valentine's Petits Fours dessert to share too. Running from 11-12 February there is plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful flavours and traditions of South America. 


Head over to Duke Street Market this Valentine’s Day weekend to explore their amazing culinary delights. With six kitchens serving everything from Cuban street food, open fire cooking, Asian street food and vegan delights there will be something for you both to enjoy. 

Why not opt for a couple of options and share them between you? Just don’t argue over who gets the last bite!


Dine surrounded by the beautiful backdrop of flowers at The Florist this Valentine’s Day. Their special menu includes a Cupid’s Arrow welcome drink, starters to share, a choice of main dishes and a dessert to share, perfect for your evening out. 


You can’t go wrong with a trip to the Baltic Market around Valentine’s Day. The warehouse turned street food market has some of the region's best food stalls serving up all sorts of culinary delights. There’s everything from halloumi fries, stoned baked pizza, Korean street food, soul food from Bubbas Trap kitchen and loads more to choose from. Team it with a top cocktail whilst listening to a bit of live music and your date won't forget this day out in a hurry. 

The market is open Wednesdsy to Sunday, perfect if you're looking for a weekend treat. 



The views don’t get much better at the Sky Bar at INNSiDE Liverpool. With panoramic views across Liverpool, enjoy a drink in their beautiful bar whilst watching the sun set over the Mersey.


The Merchant is the perfect place to take your date over Valentine’s Day weekend. Known for their selection of gin and tonics, enjoy a drink over the candle lit benches whilst listening to the resident DJ and indulging in a slice of pizza from the adjoining Nightcrawler Pizza - sounds perfect to us!


Head over to this little garden gem on Seel Street to sit underneath the canopy of lights cuddled up around the wood burning fire. Grab a drink from the bar, listen to a bit of live music and enjoy Valentine’s Day under the stars. 


Sit under the glow of the wall of lava lamps and spend Valentine’s Day at Jimmy’s. Head down into the basement for a gig, sit in the bar for a few drinks or head upstairs for something to eat - the options are endless here. 


For something a little different head over to see if you can find Abditory on Queen Avenue, just off Castle Street - you won't regret it! The underground cocktail bar is a touch of old school glamour with a hint of a private members' club offering classic cocktails alongside toasties. Yes, toasties. From vintage cheddar to cheeseburger, berl-air reuben and cauliflower cheese they make the perfect accompaniment to your Valentine’s Day drinks. 


If you really want to impress your date, then take them to Berry & Rye - if you can find it. Seek out the unassuming black door on Berry Street, give it a knock and wait to see if it opens. If you’re lucky enough to get in you’ll enter into a speakeasy world of jazz and cocktails. 



There’s nothing like a bit of friendly competition at Ghetto Golf on date night. Head to the neon warehouse to take on the weird and wonderful golf course to see who can be crowned champion. Team it with some cocktails and you’re in for the perfect night. 


Treat your other half to some luxurious Valentine’s themed bath bombs from the biggest Lush store in the world right here in Liverpool! If you want to really treat them then why not book yourselves in for a unique spa treatment in the Lush Spa, perfect for a relaxing day out. 


Take a romantic stroll down to the Royal Albert Dock to place your own lock alongside the rest of the Love Locks and take in all that the docks have to offer while you’re there. Visit their website to see what is going on.


You can’t go wrong with a trip to the cinema on Valentine’s Day, it’s the classic date night option! If you really want to impress your date, then take them to the Everyman Cinema in the Metquarter. The plush couches, table service and blockbuster films will make this Valentine’s Day one to remember. 


If the weather is nice, take a romantic stroll around Sefton Park. The 200 acre park has plenty to see including the stunning Victorian Palm House and a boating lake. If you're heading down early, grab something to eat on Lark Lane for breakfast, it's also the ideal spot if you're looking for somewhere to enjoy a drink in the evening too. 


For something a little different, why not spend an afternoon playing a few board games at Sugar and Dice? They have a whole wall filled with pretty much every board game you can think of and the super friendly staff will help you out with any you want to try. There’s also an amazing selection of homemade cakes, coffee, tea and beer to keep you refreshed. 


Take a trip down to Crosby Beach for a walk and to catch the amazing sunset - it doesn’t get more romantic than snuggling up together and watching the sun go down! Whilst you’re there check out Antony Gormly’s ‘Another Place’, you can’t really miss the 100 life-sized, cast-iron figures dotted along the coast line.
