A detailed description of Bubblesque for those who are visually impaired
Bubblesque is a large cluster of bubbles in the body of water at Mann Island that resembles a bubble bath. There are some large bubble clusters on the land, next to the water. The artwork is interactive. When the audience touches the interactive module, the clusters of bubbles will change colours in the water. During the day the bubbles shimmer in iridescent colours, and at night they light up with dynamic animations.
A detailed description of Bubblesque for those who are hearing impaired
A bubbly and playful soundscape accompanies the artwork. Warm, upbeat tones with a joyful and ambient melody.
Visual and Light considerations
Bubblesque is animated with gentle, colour bending gradients illuminating the water. The gradients shift between warm hues and cool hues.
When activated, the area is split into four sections, each reacting to an interactive point.Stemming from the direction of the interactive point, colours move back and forth across the water in time with the speed of the audience’s touch.
Noise considerations
Etherial, water-inspired sounds bubble and build to accompany the artwork. The sound moves between low, slow moments and into energetic moments of cool bubbling sound
